Venerable Andrew M. Borello Disciple of the Divine Master of the SSP

Venerable Andrew M. Borello

Richard Andrew M. Borello was born in Mango, near Alba (Piedmont), Italy on March 8,1916. On July 8,1936, at the age of 20, he entered the Society of St. Paul as an aspirant Disciple of the Divine Master. Consecrating himself entirely to the Lord by means of profession of the religious vows, he generously collaborated with the Pauline priests in the work of evangelization with the instruments of social communication. In March 1948, he offered his life to the Lord in order that all those called to the religious life might be faithful to the grace of their vocation. The Lord accepted the offering of this good and faithful disciple. Afflicted with tuberculosis, he died a holy death in Alba on September 4,1948. He was 32 years old. He was proclaimed "Venerable" on March 3, 1990.

Prayer for the Beatification of Venerable Richard Andrew M. Borello Father, to communicate your love you sent Jesus Christ our Master, Way, Truth and Life. Through the intercession of Venerable Andrew Borello, grant that the means of social communication may promote your glory and the good of society. By the offering of his young life as a Disciple of the Divine Master and after the example of St. Joseph, multiply the number of consecrated persons engaged in evangelization. Inspire among believers an active collaboration so that the Gospel message may transform the current culture of communication. Glorifying in the Church your faithful disciple and through his intercession, grant me the grace I now ask. Amen. Glory to the Father...
